There's a specific kind of coffee drinker we had in mind when we developed Como: the one who reaches for a moka pot not because it's traditional, but because it's strong. The one who finds most coffee bags too polite for their morning.
Como is our answer. It's a dark roast, sourced from a third-generation roaster in Northern Italy, and it's the newest addition to the Si Sogno range — built specifically for people who want intensity without needing an espresso machine on the counter.
Why Como
Como is roasted by a third-generation family roaster in Northern Italy, chosen specifically for a bolder, darker profile. It's a different character from Milano and Venezia — reflecting a roasting house that's spent three generations specializing in exactly this kind of intensity. But intensity isn't the whole story: the darker roast also draws out more depth and complexity, with a spiced character underneath the boldness. It's not about being the strongest coffee on the shelf — it's about strength that has something more going on.
Moka Pot Strength, Coffee Bag Simplicity
If you've grown up with Italian coffee culture, you know the moka pot occupies a specific place — a notch below espresso, but firmly above what most people think of as "regular" coffee. That's the benchmark we used for Como: not the most extreme cup you can find, but a coffee with real depth to it — layered rather than just loud.
The format, though, is where we've kept things simple. Como comes in the same coffee bag format as the rest of the Si Sogno range: single-serve, no equipment required, no grinding, no mess. Drop it in a cup, add hot water, and you get moka-pot strength in the time it takes a normal coffee bag to steep.
It's built for the gap between "I want something strong" and "I don't want to deal with a machine."
